{"id":20212,"date":"2026-06-08T18:03:27","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T22:03:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peoplesfood.coop\/newsite\/?p=20212"},"modified":"2026-06-08T18:03:27","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T22:03:27","slug":"grilled-fruit-kebabs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peoplesfood.coop\/newsite\/2026\/06\/08\/grilled-fruit-kebabs\/","title":{"rendered":"Grilled Fruit Kebabs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By: Co+op,<br \/>\nReprinted with permission from grocery<\/p>\n<p>Recipe Information<br \/>\nTotal Time: 20-30 minutes<br \/>\nServings: 6<\/p>\n<p>These fruit kebabs are a delicious complement to jerk-spiced chicken or tofu or as as dessert with a scoop of ice cream.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<br \/>\n    1 pound fresh ripe peaches and\/or plums, pitted and cut into quarters<br \/>\n    1 small pineapple (2-3 lbs.), peeled, cored, and cut into 2-inch cubes<br \/>\n    1\/2 cup ginger ale<br \/>\n    2 tablespoons honey<br \/>\n    2 tablespoons orange juice<br \/>\n    1 tablespoon vegetable oil<br \/>\n    1\/4 cup brown sugar<br \/>\n    1\/4 teaspoon ground allspice<br \/>\n    2 sprigs fresh thyme, stems removed<br \/>\n    Pinch of salt<br \/>\n    Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)<br \/>\n    6 metal or bamboo skewers (soak bamboo skewers in water before using)<\/p>\n<p>Preparation<br \/>\n    1. Prepare and preheat the grill.<br \/>\n    2. In a small bowl, whisk together the ginger ale, honey, orange juice, oil, brown sugar, allspice, thyme leaves, salt and cayenne pepper, if using.<br \/>\n    3. Thread the fruit onto the skewers and place them on a rimmed sheet pan. Brush the fruit with some of the marinade.
