{"id":17411,"date":"2024-02-05T18:47:46","date_gmt":"2024-02-05T23:47:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peoplesfood.coop\/newsite\/?p=17411"},"modified":"2024-02-05T18:49:37","modified_gmt":"2024-02-05T23:49:37","slug":"guacamole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peoplesfood.coop\/newsite\/2024\/02\/05\/guacamole\/","title":{"rendered":"Guacamole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By: Co+op<br \/>\nReprinted with permission from grocery.coop<\/p>\n<p>Recipe Information<br \/>\nTotal Time: 15 minutes<br \/>\nServings: 4<\/p>\n<p>This fabulous guacamole is simple to make and is sure to be a crowd pleaser served as a dip or on burgers, burritos or tacos.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<br \/>\n    3 Haas avocados, ripe<br \/>\n    1\/4 cup diced fresh tomato (seeded)<br \/>\n    2 tablespoons diced red onion<br \/>\n    1 teaspoon chopped garlic (one clove)<br \/>\n    1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lime juice (half a lime)<br \/>\n    1 teaspoon ground cumin<br \/>\n    1 teaspoon chipotle chili powder<br \/>\n    1 teaspoon fresh cilantro, minced (optional)<\/p>\n<p>Preparation<br \/>\nSlice the avocadoes lengthwise, remove the pits and scoop the green flesh (discard any brown flesh) into a bowl. Use a fork to mash the avocado pulp to a chunky texture. Add the lime juice, garlic, onion, and spices and mix well. Add the tomatoes and cilantro, mix and serve.<\/p>\n<p>Serving Suggestions<br \/>\nGuacamole is a popular snack with crisp tortilla chips and a common ingredient in burritos, tacos and burgers.
